Dr. Watson
Dr. Watson is a Lee county native with over 15 years of dental office experience. She began her career in dentistry as an assistant before returning to school to study dental hygiene. After working in the area as a hygienist for several years she saw first-hand the lack of access to care in the area and decided to apply to dental school.
After graduating with honors from ETSU with a degree in Microbiology, Dr. Watson went on to Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated 5th in her class. During school Dr. Watson pursued extra training in removable prosthodontics and was awarded the Dr. Hugh B. Douglas Award for excellence prosthodontics. She was also able to spend extra time studying occlusion (bite issues) and smile design. Prior to graduation she was inducted in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Following graduation, Dr. Watson went straight to work back in the area and has been happy to provide care to those in and around her hometown. She lives in Jonesville with her husband Jonah, two daughters Mallory and Penny, and their two golden-doodles. Dr. Watson enjoys being outdoors, gardening, and spending time playing with her girls!
Dr. Laningham
Dr. Laningham grew up in Lee County, Virginia on the farm that has been home to six generations of his family. Upon graduation from high school, he attended the College of William & Mary, and the University of Virginia, where he received his Bachelor’s in Biology and graduated with honors.
He then attended the School of Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University where in 2015 he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and graduated 6th in his class. While there, Dr. Laningham earned multiple merit scholarships as well as the O. W. Clough award for excellence in restorative dentistry.
When not in the office, he enjoys spending his free time outdoors and pursuing various hobbies and interests.

Jonah
Office Manager & Reception
If you ask Jonah, he'll tell you his official title is "minion" as he does a little bit of everything around the office! From answering phones and helping with managerial tasks, to changing light bulbs and keeping our computer systems up and running Jonah is our go-to guy to pick up all of the loose ends and keep things running smoothly. He's at home with Penny part-time and enjoys camping and spending time outside!

Dental Hygienist
Chanda came to us with over 8 years of dental office experience working as a dental hygienist. She is a Lee county native and graduated from the dental hygiene program at ETSU. She is passionate about her work and her thorough nature ensures your teeth get a pristine clean every time you see her! When not working she spends her time with her fiancé Brad cheering on the VOLs! Chanda is one to always see the silver lining and brings her energy and positivity to the whole office!

Dental Hygienist
Kelli joined us part-time last year with over 20 years of hygiene experience! Kelli and Dr. Watson were co-workers as hygienist prior to Dr. Watson returning to school and have maintained their friendship over the years. When Dr. Watson was able to open her practice Kellie was happy to come and work together again! Kelli is married to Brent and they have two children, Jake and Maddie. The live in Speedwell, TN with their two dogs and enjoy spending time next to the pool and traveling!

Reception & Office Manager
Kellie joined our office in June of 2022. While Kellie is relatively new to the dental world, her background in banking, raising three kids, and working with preschoolers has developed a skillset that has become a huge asset to the office. She is the smile that greets you as you walk in the door and she will help ensure that you have all your appointments and referrals as needed. It's not unusual to see Kellie answering phones, verifying insurance, and interacting with patients all at the same time! (Can we say multitasking master?!)Kellie was raised in Pennington Gap. She enjoys going to church, hunting and fishing and going to the lake with her husband Bruce and her children.

Dental Assistant
Kelle has been a part of this practice since 2014, choosing to stay with Dr. Watson after Dr. Roberson and his previous staff retired. Kelle's calm demeanor and years of experience as an assistant help our patients new and old feel comfortable and cared for.Kelle still travels to Pound every week to help Dr. Roberson with his part-time practice there and when not working she's usually busy running grandkids to practices or piano lessons!

Dental Assistant
Erin joined the team in September of 2023 after graduating from the Mountain Empire Community College dental assisting program and working as an assistant for 2 years. Erin lives with her husband Caleb in Jonesville along with their two fur babies Gojo and Harry! In her free time Erin enjoys gardening and doing photography.

Smile Bringer and Comfort Maker
Piper is our office comfort pup! You’ll see her curled up on a lap or walking about greeting everyone! Her little tippy taps around the office bring a smile to everyone’s face! If you do not like dogs please let us know and we can have Piper stay more chaperoned as to not make your appointment uncomfortable!

Kayla
Dental Assistant
Kayla is the newest addition to our office. She grew up on a farm in Lee County, where her love for animals began. Her dad raises beef cattle, and she has several pets of her own, including her Corgi, Tuff, two horses, Boo and Tripp, and several goats. In her free time, she enjoys running barrels, going to concerts, and taking trips with her family and friends. She also loves visiting the livestock market.
She earned an associate degree from Mountain Empire and has experience in banking and patient services. Now, she’s excited to learn the ins and outs of the dental world!
